Management Board

Mr. Christian Canacaris is currently Chief Executive Officer of Raiffeisen Bank in Albania. He holds this position since October 2010. He is a highly experienced banker with a lot of years spent in CEE countries and emerging markets in Board Member positions. Mr. Canacaris has a long career in Treasury and Capital Markets.

Mr. Canacaris joined Raiffeisen Bank in April 2004 as Board Member for Treasury, Investment Banking and Capital Markets. From February 2010 until October 2015 he was also in charge of Corporate Banking at Board level, too.

During his long banking career, he has held managing positions at RZB Krekova Bank, at Raiffeisen Bank Maribor Slovenia, Raiffeisen Bank Romania, National Bank of Greece S.A in Bucharest, Romania, National Bank of Greece S.A, Paris, Phoenix Bank, Paris, etc.

Mr. Canacaris graduated from the University of Paris, Pantheon-Sorbonne, in European and Enterprise Finance. He also has a master’s degree in Econometrics and Applied Mathematics and Statistics and an MBA from Manchester Business School.

Alexander Zsolnai joined Raiffeisen Bank in March 2010 as Board Member for Finance and Risk. He was appointed as Vice-Chairman of the Management Board on 1 October 2010 in addition to his responsibilities as Chief Finance Officer and Chief Risk Officer. 

Mr. Zsolnai has several banking and executive experiences. He has held the position of Board Member and CFO & CRO at Raiffeisenbank BiH d.d., Sarajevo, CEO of HVB-Central Profit Banka d.d., Sarajevo and Advisor to SEE Region for the establishment of regional sales controlling, Head of Branch Network Development in the business division branch network (joint management organisation with PSK / Austrian Post Bank), etc.

Mr. Zsolnai graduated from Vienna University with a degree in Business Administration and he has several qualifications in strategic and operative development of new markets / business fields, design and implementation of change and innovation processes, development of sales channels, especially branch networks, Risk-management processes and organisation, managing people and organisations, especially in a complex environment, etc.

Mrs. Mullahi (Koçi) is Board Member for Corporate since October 2015. She has more than 18 years of experience in the banking system. Mrs. Mullahi has deep knowledge of Corporate Banking, SE banking, Credit Risk and most of other business and support functions in the banking industry.

Mrs. Mullahi (Koçi) joined Raiffeisen Bank in 2004. She headed the Department of Public Institutions & Central and Local Government from 2004 until 2009. Since 2010 she has headed the Non-Retail business segment that includes Domestic Corporate and International Corporate, Small Companies, all Local and Central Government Institutions, other Public Sector Entities, Financial Institutions (i.e. FI-s non-banks, insurance companies, brokers, and leasing companies) and NGOs.

In addition, Mrs. Mullahi (Koçi) has a long experience and has worked in managerial positions at the American Bank of Albania, National Bank of Greece, Ministry of Public Works and Transport, Ministry of Finance, etc.

Elona Mullahi (Koci) is also Member of Bank’s Credit Committee. She also held the position of the Member of Supervisory Board of Raiffeisen Leasing from 2010 until 2015 and the position of Member of the Supervisory Board of Raiffeisen Invest from 2011 until 2014.

Mr. Erion Serti is Member of the Management Board CIO COO since January 1 ,2022.

Mr. Serti has a long experience at Raiffeisen Bank in Albania dating back to 2004. During his journey at Raiffeisen Bank Albania, he has successfully held several managing positions in the IT division, such as Head of System and Implementation Department, Head of IT Operations, and from 2018 – 2021 he held the position of Head of IT Division.

Mr. Serti’s experience expands to Raiffeisen Bank International. He holds the position of Technology Tower Leader since 2016 in which he is responsible for networking – part of Group Chief Technology Officer, driving network innovation technology for Raiffeisen Bank International and all 13 Raiffeisen Bank Units in CCE.

Mr. Serti graduated in Electronic Engineering – Computer Science from the Polytechnic University of Tirana. He also holds an MBA from the Faculty of Economics, University of Tirana. 

Mrs. Baçe has been a Member of the Board of Directors for Retail Business since April 2022. She has 18 years of experience in the banking system and in-depth knowledge of Retail Business. During May 2016-March 2022 Mrs. Baçe has held the position of Director of Sales and Branch Network Division, where she has effectively managed branches, direct sales, and relations with third parties, operational part of sales with a constant focus on providing high quality service and a professional image of the bank.

Mrs. Baçe joined Raiffeisen Bank in 2004 as Director of Public Relations and Sponsorships. In this position she has been responsible for establishing good relations with the community, local and central government, positioning the Bank as a leader in our country. Mrs. Baçe has also held the position of Member of the Board of Directors of Raiffeisen Invest in between 2016-2022.

Also, Mrs. Baçe has had managerial experience at the National Bank of Greece as Director of Public Relations and Marketing. 
The experience of Mrs. Baçe in the economic field has also been enriched with her involvement in teaching. She has been a lecturer in the Department of Journalism of the University of Tirana for the subject "Basics of Economic Thought". Also, Mrs. Baçe has covered economic journalism at various media groups in Albania.

Mrs. Baçe graduated in Economics from the University of Tirana and completed postgraduate studies in economics and economic journalism at the University of Missouri, USA. She has also conducted various professional trainings in the field of strategic management, customer service, leadership, communication, business continuity, etc.
