One Citizen One Tree, Raiffeisen Bank awarded with the gold medal

The Municipality of Tirana on the occasion of Earth Day organized a ceremony for all businesses that have contributed in the initiative “One Citizen – One Tree” launched by this municipality. Thanks to the wide participation and huge contribution from the businesses more than 8000 trees were planted in Tirana during 2008. This year Tirana Municipality aims to increase this number up to 12,000 trees. The Mayor of Tirana, Mr. Edi Rama said that within 2010 there will be planted more than 20,000 trees in Tirana.

During this ceremony were delivered several symbolic awards for all the sponsors. Depending on businesses’ contribute for this green campaign, Tirana Municipality delivered gold, silver and bronze medals for all participants. Mayor Rama awarded with 7 gold medals the businesses involved in this initiative. Raiffeisen Bank was one of the companies awarded with the gold medal of gratitude. Ms. Vilma Baçe, Head of Public Relation Department and Mr. Alban Çomaçka Area Manager for Tirana attended this ceremony. Ms. Baçe received the award on behalf of Raiffeisen Bank. “Raiffeisen Bank is honored to participate in such initiatives, and I believe that we will continue to support such initiatives in the future”, said Ms. Baçe during while receiving the gold medal.
