21.7.2011

For the seventh consecutive year, Euromoney, the world’s leading monthly publication for the global banking, finance and capital markets, has awarded Raiffeisen Bank in Albania as “Best Bank” in the country. The bank was acquired by Raiffeisen Bank International in 2004 and is Albania's largest bank with a balance-sheet total close to 2 billion Euro.

The British financial magazine Euromoney awarded Raiffeisen Bank International as “Best Bank in Central and Eastern Europe” already for the sixth time, and its subsdiaries in Albania, Belarus and Ukraine were awarded the local title “Best Bank” of their countries. Raiffeisen Bank Sh.a. in Albania has been awarded this title already for the seventh time, while Priorbank JSC, RBI's subsidiary in Belarus, and the Ukrainian Raiffeisen Bank Aval JSC were each awarded this title already for the fifth time.

”These awards are a confirmation of our work and reflect the entrenchment of RBI in CEE, which we think will remain the most important European growth region. The awards are an incentive to continue our ongoing efforts to offer our private and corporate customers the tailor-made financial services they require,” said Herbert Stepic, Chairman RBI’s Managing Board.

“I am very proud that the well-known Euromoney magazine has chosen Raiffeisen Bank again as the Best Bank in the country. We strongly believe that we will continue to grow and face the future challenges as we have done in the past. Raiffeisen Bank in Albania is in number one position in all key performance indicators”, said Christian Canacaris, CEO of Raiffeisen Bank in Albania.
