Raiffeisen Bank is awarded with Philanthropy Award for the Contribution on local level

Raiffeisen Bank received the Philanthropy Award for the Contribution on local level in a ceremony organized on 7 December on this occasion.

This award was delivered to Mr. Christian Canacaris, Chief Executive Officer of Raiffeisen Bank in Albania with the dedication: For the contribution given in support of the development of education and culture in Shkodra city, through the reconstruction of the concerts hall of artistic high school “Prenk Jakova”, support in infrastructure for the Economic Faculty, University “Luigj Gurakuqi as well as other social and educative activities.

“I am here tonight to receive this award on behalf of all the employees of Raiffeisen Bank in Albania. This award makes us proud for contributing to the community with which we work. We are a bank of community and we take very seriously our part for contributing modestly to their welfare. This is not a one year job; we will continue to do our best in the years to come”, said Mr. Canacaris during his speech.

Partners Albania, Center for Change and Conflict Management in Albania organized the competition for the Philanthropy Award with the goal to keep this old and valuable tradition alive by expressing the gratitude to individuals, families and businesses who contribute to improving the quality of life in the community.

The proposals were assessed by a comprehensive jury from the civil society, media and supportive institutions with economic and social development programs in Albania.
