Vodafone and Raiffeisen have agreed to sponsor the first ever Albanian team Endeavouring to reach the highest peak of the worlds on the country's' 100th Anniversary of Independence
2012 will mark the 100-th Anniversary of Independence of Albania and the Dajti Alpino Touristic Association have decided to undertake the brave mission of being the first ever Albanian team of climbers to endeavour to reach the highest peak in the world, Everest and to place the Albanian flag among other nations’ flags - right at the top of the world at 8848 meters high.
Today the Chief executives of Vodafone and Raiffeisen Bank, Haris Broumidis and Christian Canacaris signed the Sponsorship Agreement with the Dajti Alpino Touristic Association.

Aleksandër Bojaxhi, the head of the Dajti Alpino Touristic Association thanked both companies for their support and promised to take the Albanian Flag at the 'Top of the world"". ""We are glad to have secured this very valuable financial support by Vodafone Albania and Raiffeisen Bank that wil help build the team and enable us to place the Flag at the highest peak of the works"" - He said.
The team shall now enter into an intensive period of required preparations and is supposed to reach Everest in May 2012.
