Caritas Albania with the financial support of Foundation of H. Stepic CEE Charity supported by RBI has made possible the opening of a Day Care Center in September 2010 for 35 children and young people with mental disabilities in Arrameras, Fushe-Kruja. The center offers the possibility for the disabled children to organize their day in a valuable manner, to establish and keep social relationship. The aim of the project is to create more independence for disable people and support their development.
H. Stepic CEE Charity supported by RBI has continuously dedicated particular interest in the service offered at the center towards social and economic empowerment of young people with mental disabilities.
In this framework, Mr.Herbert Stepic, the President of Stepic CEE Charity has visited the center on 25 September 2014. The reason of the visit was to see the progress made in this center during these years and meet with the children that are benefiting from the services offered at the center.
On this occasion, it was organized a ceremony with the presence of the Director of Caritas Albania, representatives from Fushe Kruja Municipality, media representatives, parents of the disabled children in the center, etc.
Mr. Stepic greeted the ceremony with a short speech in which he said:†“I created this charity foundation 7 years before with the aim to help people in need, children with disabilities, to give them the opportunity to live with dignity in the community and to help them become valuable part of society. This center is a very clear evidence of what we intend. I would like to thank the staff working with these children, Caritas Albania for the collaboration and Raiffeisen Bank Albania for its contribution.â€
Mr. Albert Nikolla, Director of Caritas Albania also had a greeting speech for the participants in the ceremony.
