Elevator Lab

Through the Elevator Lab Program, RBAL supports the development of innovative fintech solutions by fostering strategic partnerships with startups and technology companies. The program serves as a bridge between the bank and the broader innovation ecosystem, encouraging collaboration with emerging fintechs to drive innovation in banking products, services, and customer experiences. 

JunctionX Tirana

For the second consecutive year, RBAL partnered with JunctionX Tirana, one of the largest international hackathons in the region, to bring real-world innovation challenges to a diverse community of technology enthusiasts, entrepreneurs, and future innovators. 


Junction X Tirana

Through this collaboration, the bank strengthened its engagement with the innovation ecosystem by inviting participants to develop technology-driven solutions that address key customer needs and enhance digital banking experiences. 

Building on insights gathered from FinSnap Teens, RBAL introduced challenges focused on making the onboarding journey within the RaiYouth app more engaging, intuitive, and appealing for young users, while also encouraging the development of innovative digital solutions that promote financial education and literacy. 

The initiative provided participants with the opportunity to apply their creativity and technical expertise to meaningful business challenges, generating fresh perspectives on user experience, customer engagement, and digital innovation. Supported by RBAL mentors and experts throughout the process, the partnership reinforced the bank’s commitment to co-creating solutions with the broader technology community, fostering innovation, and contributing to the future of digital banking.

Junior Achievement

Through its partnership with Junior Achievement, RBAL provides young people with a valuable opportunity to experience the professional world firsthand and gain practical insights into the skills and competencies required for future careers.

By engaging directly with RBAL leaders and employees, participants are exposed to diverse career paths and gain inspiration from professionals working across different areas of the bank. 

Through this collaboration, RBAL supports youth development and career readiness, helping students build confidence, broaden their perspectives, and make more informed decisions about their educational and professional futures while strengthening the connection between education and the world of work.

RaiYouth Lab Bootcamp

The RaiYouth Lab Bootcamp was designed to introduce young participants to the world of modern banking through a dynamic combination of financial education, product innovation, and hands-on learning experiences.

Bringing together young adults with an interest in technology, innovation, and finance, the program encouraged participants to explore how banking products and services are developed while gaining a deeper understanding of financial literacy and the evolving financial landscape. Through interactive workshops, collaborative activities, and mentorship from RBAL experts, participants were empowered to think creatively, share ideas, and contribute to discussions around the future of banking. 

By focusing on innovation, customer needs, and emerging trends, the bootcamp provided valuable insights into how future banking experiences can be shaped, while fostering the next generation of informed, engaged, and innovation-minded customers.

ESG Bootcamp

Organized in partnership with GIZ and the Municipality of Tirana, the ESG Bootcamp brought together participants from diverse backgrounds to explore innovative solutions that promote sustainability and responsible development.

The initiative created a collaborative environment where individuals from different sectors could exchange ideas, address Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) challenges, and develop practical approaches with the potential to generate lasting impact. 

Through the strong partnership between RBAL, GIZ, and the Municipality of Tirana, the program fostered cross-sector collaboration and encouraged participants to apply innovative thinking to real-world sustainability topics. 

Beyond ideation, the bootcamp emphasized the development of actionable solutions, with several ideas successfully progressing to implementation, demonstrating the program’s ability to create tangible outcomes. Through this initiative, RBAL reinforced its commitment to sustainability, innovation, and the promotion of responsible practices that contribute to long-term economic and social development.
