Expectations of base rate, and the yields in 2022 and 2023

After more than a decade of low-interest rates, we have now entered a new phase where central banks around the world are tightening their monetary policy. The Albanian economy is not immune to such developments and the Bank of Albania has also embarked on a tightening journey since March 2022, although at a moderate pace.

Considering the importance that the interest rates environment plays in the banking business and to give you an outlook of our expectations we have prepared an insight note on our expectations of the base rate, and the yields in 2022 and 2023.
