Technology and the Future: Cloud Connect 2024 Conference in Albania
- For the first time, Raiffeisen Group organized the fourth Cloud Connect conference in Albania.
- Over 400 colleagues from network banks and AWS, along with more than 200 participants, gathered in Tirana for this event.
From May 22-24, 2024, Raiffeisen Bank Albania had the pleasure of organizing the fourth Raiffeisen Group Cloud Connect conference for the first time in Albania. This event brought together over 400 colleagues from network banks and AWS, as well as more than 200 participants in Tirana. The conference featured 9 keynote speakers and 18 separate sessions on various topics, along with a discussion panel.
The goal of Cloud Connect was to unite technology, business, and learning by sharing continuous innovation within the group as an inspiring force that strengthens the connections between technology, customer experience, and business operations, towards realizing our shared mission and vision.
During the first two days, keynote speakers shared their experiences, expertise, and knowledge about cloud technology, how this technology with its speed and sustainability impacts business in many aspects. Additionally, colleagues joined parallel sessions and deepened their knowledge on specific topics and challenges with the aim of implementing these innovations in business developments.
The last day was dedicated to the theme of “gaming,” game creation where over 100 colleagues, mentors, organizers, and others engaged in various team challenges and activities on the beautiful southern coast, at the South Outdoor Festival in Borsh. Besides the AWS games, the day concluded with a presentation on sustainable innovation and the role of technology in achieving it.
The Cloud Connect event marked an important moment, coinciding with the 20th anniversary of Raiffeisen Bank in Albania. During the event, members of the RBI and RBAL Boards emphasized the bank's commitment to innovation and continuous financial education, fostering change and technological development in the financial sector.
